it's about S$17 and US$11, just in case you need to know.

i didn't even know that going to the races was a huge part of hong kong culture, until later that night when a friend chided me, " have you never watched hong kong dramas?"

to which i can only say, "no, i've never actually watched tv seriously. and not chinese tv, that's for sure."

also, last but not least, i have to state here, categorically and unequivocally, that horses run a whole lot faster than humans.

that's why they are fun to watch. and that's why horses don't pay horse money to watch michael johnson.

sorry for the anthro-centrism. this is hong kong, capital of chinese materialism, after all.
